If your legs feel completely drained after just one lap…Do this instead!
Keep the session moving with another watch from the same channel.
Whether you are swimming freestyle or backstroke, a knee-heavy kick is completely destroying your momentum.
Here is how to fix your flutter kick and swim faster:
The Illusion of Power: Bending your knees deeply might feel like you are kicking a lot of water, but you are actually just creating massive drag that acts like a parachute slowing you down.
Drive from the Hips: A powerful, efficient kick originates from the hips, not the knees. Your legs should be almost completely straight as you drive the water backward.
The "Loose Bolt" Trick: Imagine there is a loose bolt attaching your leg to your hip. Your leg needs to hang relaxed and fluid. If you tighten up that joint, your legs go stiff, and you lose all your propulsion.
Want to build a faster, more efficient kick without burning out your legs?
