Lakers Legend Michael Cooper: 76ers Will Be Better Than the Celtics for 3 Years 😳

Michael Cooper and CLNS Media's Nick Gelso are back with Showtime with Coop and the 2026-27 season previews. Coop makes the case that the 76ers will be better than the Celtics for at least the next three years, and says Philadelphia wins a championship before Boston. Nick pushes back: the Celtics have cap flexibility in two years, and he thinks Philly implodes by January.

Also: why Coop thinks the post-LeBron Lakers are a playoff team and not a play-in team, what to expect from Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, Bronny James, what the Jaylen Brown trade means for Jayson Tatum, and Coop on training Lisa Leslie.

The backstory: on July 1 the Celtics traded Jaylen Brown to the 76ers for Paul George and picks. LeBron James signed with Philadelphia weeks later. The 76ers beat the Celtics in seven games last spring after trailing 3-1. Opening night is Tuesday, Oct. 20.
