Is playing an extremely tough regular-season schedule a good idea in the era of a 12-team College Football Playoff, or is it akin to shooting yourself in the foot? Well, we are about to find out this year given Ohio State's brutal slate that includes three teams widely ranked within the top-5 nationally (Texas, Indiana, Oregon), plus three other squads that are expected to be ranked (USC, Michigan, Iowa).
