The headline here is Mikey's SABR Award nomination for a well written article about player names and assimilation in Major League Baseball. We tackle politics as well, because it wouldn't be a conversation between us without it veering into that area. The show ends on a pair of baseball notes: Mikey gives us what he thinks are the most interesting pitches in baseball so far, and recants the story of his unique relationship with Mariners relief star Paul Sewald.
