New Snippet: Stuart Glennie, the Academy Director of Scottish Cup winners Aberdeen Football Club, tells me on Episode 12 of my Podcast.
That it's best to coach players before a match, at half time, during an interval in the game, or at the end of the match. Coaches shouldn't shout instructions whilst players are on the ball playing.
Stuart says coaches should leave the players to decide to implement what they have been coached whilst they are playing in the game. It's better for coaches to stay silent on the toachline while the players play.
If the players decide not to follow the coaches instructions and make mistakes. That's how they will learn and develop.
