It's our final breakdown from SEC Media Days before pads start popping

We've taken a long look at John Mateer during the offseason on the website, from his throwing motion to his relationships with Sam Bradford and everything he's been through since last season. This week he showed up in Tampa at SEC Media Days and the national media had their chance to talk with Mateer about his injury and struggles a year ago and what they can expect in the 2026 season. Taylor Wein represented the defense and got to talk about his meteoric rise from early struggles to becoming one of the top defenders in college football and the SEC. And the surprise guest that took most OU fans by surprise was Eddy Pierre-Louis who got to answer all the questions about one of the key positions needing improvement for 2026, the offensive line.
