VJ Edgecombe Continues STRONG Play, Jaylen Brown Sits In Loss To Celtics | PHLY Sixers Podcast

With the Boston Celtics playing most of their regulars, and the Sixers opting to rest Joel Embiid, LeBron James and Jaylen Brown, the Celtics destroyed the Sixers 144-106, dropping Philadelphia to 1-2 in the preseason thus far. Despite the blowout, the Sixers received a strong performance from second-year guard VJ Edgecombe, who finished with 19 points, four assists and four steals in 26 minutes of play as he continues to show the progress he’s made in developing his handle and improving as a shot creator and distributor. The Sixers also received an encouraging performance from Labaron Philon Jr, who finished with 14 points and seven assists off the bench, along with another strong outing from Jabari Walker, who will have a chance at a larger than expected role with Ariel Hukporti out for the year following a devastating Achilles tear.
