KUCHEROV WANTS OUT?! Lightning Superstar Requests a Trade After 13 Seasons

Nikita Kucherov reportedly wants out of Tampa Bay after 13 seasons with the Lightning. We react to the stunning report involving the reigning NHL MVP, discuss Julien BriseBois’ response, and break down reports that Tampa Bay lowballed its superstar during contract discussions.

Is there any chance the Lightning actually move Kucherov, or will the organization stand firm? If Kucherov becomes available, which NHL teams are best positioned to pull off a blockbuster trade?

We look at the assets contenders could offer, whether Tampa Bay would consider taking future assets to flip for immediate help, and the possibility of a bigger deal involving Dylan Larkin. Plus, the Seattle Kraken trade Shane Wright to the Nashville Predators for Matthew Wood.

We get Ellis and Larkin’s reactions to the deal and discuss what it means for both teams. We also debate the NHL’s best team right now, including whether the Edmonton Oilers deserve to be in the conversation, and look at the goaltending performances of Tristan Jarry and Matt Tomkins.
