BREAKING: KUCHEROV DEMANDS TRADE & A CANUCKS FAN REACTS

🚨 KUCHEROV WANTS OUT! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ELIAS PETTERSSON'S TRADE VALUE?! 👀

The NHL trade market just got a whole lot more interesting.

According to Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman, NIKITA KUCHEROV HAS INFORMED THE TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING THAT HE WANTS TO BE TRADED AND DOESN'T PLAN TO RE-SIGN.

We're talking about one of the best offensive players in the entire NHL. A former Hart Trophy winner, multiple-time Art Ross winner and two-time Stanley Cup champion.

And now Tampa Bay potentially has to figure out what kind of return it can get for a superstar who doesn't want to stay.

But here's where things get interesting for Vancouver.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ELIAS PETTERSSON?

If Kucherov is available, how does his situation impact the market for other high-end NHL players?

Pettersson is younger, plays centre and has years remaining on his contract. But his $11.6 million cap hit, recent production and full no-movement clause make his situation VERY different.

Could a Kucherov trade establish a new benchmark for superstar trade value?

Could Pettersson actually have more trade value than Canucks fans think?

Or does Vancouver have to accept that the market simply isn't going to offer what they want?

We're breaking down Friedman's report, the Kucherov situation, and what it could mean for the Canucks if they seriously consider moving Elias Pettersson.
