The Chicago Cubs got the offense rolling as Pete Crow-Armstrong and Seiya Suzuki both crushed home runs but the bullpen was unable to hold the lead, losing their second straight game to the Athletics. Colin Rea delivered another solid outing on the mound, giving the Cubs exactly what they needed while keeping the Athletics' lineup in check. Ian Happ added a memorable moment with pure hustle, legging out his 1,000th career hit in a play that perfectly showcased his determination and leadership. In the end, the offense fell dormant again as the Cubs slide continues. Join Luke Stuckmeyer, Joey Christopoulos, and Justin Roman as they lament the Cubs perpetual collapse, PCA's continued success at the plate, the return of Suzuki's power and what the team needs to do to break out of this seemingly endless slump.
