Ohio State coach Ryan Day on Tuesday mentioned the idea that receiver Jeremiah Smith might not get the stats necessary to build a Heisman Trophy case. If that's the case in this day and age, where the best teams are making sure to stay fresh for a a playoff run that could last four games and takes place after the Heisman is handed out, do we all need to get smarter in how we think about the Heisman?
