Tennessee football was able to beat Auburn on Saturday afternoon even though Josh Heupel had to bench Faizon Brandon after the freshman threw a costly interception late in the first half. The Vols were able to win their first conference game of the season because its defense continued to state its case as one of the best in the SEC and a career day for Faizon Brandon. Punter Jackson Ross was able to pin Auburn deep time and time again to help the cause.
