The Braves make their first 2026 deadline move, acquiring Lane Thomas and lefty depth arm Bailey Falter from the Royals for minor-league pitchers Carter Holton and Lucas Braun. Lindsay Crosby explains Thomas is intended as a platoon corner outfielder who crushes lefties, not an everyday center fielder, then breaks down looming roster decisions with Ha-Seong Kim returning and Sean Murphy nearing activation. The episode also analyzes the Dodgers’ surprising Tarik Skubal trade package, why LA could afford it, what an Atlanta equivalent might have cost, and argues the Braves shouldn’t concede the season despite the Dodgers’ advantages.
