SMU Drops a Late Lead Against Syracuse | Mustangs Fall to 6-2 | Mustang Mood Podcast

SMU suffers a heartbreaking 30-27 loss to Syracuse, dropping the Mustangs to 6-2 after another frustrating performance on the road. The Mustang Mood crew breaks down what went wrong in the loss, where SMU goes from here, and whether this team can still make a run at the ACC Championship.

SMU looked like it had Syracuse under control after taking a seven-point lead in the second half, but the offense couldn't close the game out. Kevin Jennings threw for 351 yards and two touchdowns without an interception, but costly sacks, penalties, missed opportunities, and questionable play calling proved too much to overcome.

We break down the biggest moments from SMU vs. Syracuse, the offensive struggles, the defense's second-half performance, and the concerns that continue to follow this team. We also discuss Kevin Jennings' development, the special teams situation, and what needs to change before SMU takes on Virginia Tech.

Can SMU still turn the season around and make a run at the ACC Championship, or are the Mustangs running out of time?
