Giants Reportedly in the Quarterback Market | Ranking Their Options

Giants quarterback options after Jaxson Dart's injury, ranked. With Dart out for the regular season after knee surgery, Jameis Winston is the Giants' starter and Jake Haener sits on the practice squad. Now the Giants weigh adding a quarterback, and we rank every option.

The free agents: Jimmy Garoppolo (43-21 as a starter, 67.4% career completion, but no pass attempts in 2025) and Jake Browning, released by Tampa Bay at cutdowns. The trade market: Mac Jones, who went 5-3 filling in for Brock Purdy last season but, per Adam Schefter, would cost a lot, and Gardner Minshew, who played for Giants OC Matt Nagy in Kansas City. The upside swings: J.J. McCarthy, now third string in Minnesota after 11 TDs and 12 INTs in 2025, and Joe Milton, a practice squad arm in Dallas.
