POST CAST: Wild Start Season with 3-1 Win in Nashville

The Minnesota Wild started their 2026-27 season with a 3-1 win over the Nashville Predators on the road Thursday night. The Wild took the early lead on a goal by Nick Foligno, and added to it on a Power Play goal by Blake Coleman to take a 2-0 lead after the first period. The Predators cut the lead to 2-1 in the second on a goal by Roman Josi. Kirill Kaprizov scored in the 3rd to push the lead back to 2 at 3-1 and the Wild defense held on from there. The Wild Penalty Kill was perfect at 4/4 and the Power Play also added a goal.
