What a weekend for Detroit. They beat both Tampa and Edmonton to extend their winning streak to 5 games, capping off a succesful homestand against playoff-caliber opponents. Against the Lightning, the Red Wings suffocated Tampa for 40 minutes and Gibson stood on his head through all 60. Axel Sandin-Pellikka scored his 1st career goal on Friday, and then Emmitt Finnie did as well on Sunday enroute to a 3pt night.
