RED SOX POSTCAST: Nick Sogard Delivers HUGE & Sox Avoid Series Sweep in the Desert

The Red Sox (79-65) scored 3 runs in the Top of the 9th Inning and avoided the series sweep with a 7-4 win over the Diamondbacks at Chase Field in Phoenix Arizona. It's the Red Sox 35 comeback win of the season. Garrett Whitlock worked 1.2 scoreless innings for the win. Aroldis Chapman struck out 4 in the ninth to finish off the D-backs and notch his 29th Save.

The Big Knock: Nick Sogard came off the bench and delivered a 2-out, 2-run Double in the Top of the 9th Inning that put the Red Sox in front, 6-4. It is Sogard's 1st career pinch-hit in the Majors and his first go-ahead hit in the Majors.

Bello on the Bump: Brayan Bello made the start in the series finale on Sunday and left the with a 1-run lead after 6.0 innings of work. He would have to settle for a no-decision.  Bello allowed 3 runs, all 3 earned, on 4 hits. He walked 1 and struck out 2. Corbin Carroll scored from 3rd on a wild pitch with 2 outs in the 4th Inning and that put the D-Backs up, 2-1. Carroll walked with 2 outs in the 6th and scored all the way from 1st on a Double that made it 3-1.  Bello has gone 4 straight starts without allowing a Home Run. The Sox improved to 15-10 in Bello's 25 starts this season.

--Sunday's win was the 600th managerial win for manager, Alex Cora.

--The Red Sox are 28-2 in their last 30 games where they score 5 or more runs.
