🏐 In Volleyball Explained Olympics Special (Day 12) with co-host Victoria Georgieva - CEV external media officer - we discussed the 1/4-finals in Tokyo 2020 (indoor women and beach volleyball): 

✅ Korea - Turkey 3:2 - disappointment for Giovanni Guidetti and his team, problems with the outside hitters, great Kim! 

✅ USA - Dominican Republic 3:0 - total domination for the US ladies and Karch Kiraly, Jordan Thompson and Jordyn Poulter are back on the bench after their injuries earlier in the tournament; 

✅ Serbia - Italy 3:0 - masterclass from Maja Ognjenovic, great Tijana Boskovic with 24 points, exceptional play with the middle blockers, especially Milena Rasic, hesitations from the setter of Italy Ofelia Malinov and Alessia Orro, very low attack efficiency of Paola Egonu with many errors;

✅ Brazil - Russia 3:1 - very low efficiency in attack for Russia after set 1, specifically when it comes to Nataliya Goncharova (she ended with 7% eff.), more variety, but also high speed in the combinations of Macris Carneiro who was also back after an injury - five players of Brazil with double digits in this match! 

✅ Quarterfinals in beach volleyball - the Qataris, the Norwegians, the Latvians and the volleyball Wolves. Enjoy! 😍
