Yankees Could Benefit From MLB’s Broken Bracket

MLB’s playoff format is under fire, with the Yankees’ path exposing why the bracket system and lack of reseeding can create frustrating matchups. Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber debate the flaws in the setup, why facing the Rays in a best-of-five could actually benefit the Yankees, and whether MLB could overhaul the postseason under a new CBA.

The conversation turns to an even wilder possibility: letting the best teams choose their playoff opponents. Evan and Tiki imagine the drama, insults and incredible television that could follow from a live selection show. Plus, they discuss the Yankees’ pitching plans, Gerrit Cole’s importance and the team’s travel trouble getting to Tampa.
