We look at those helping develop our match officials off the pitch in our Developing the Developers (Novice) mini-series.

Assessors, coaches, performance reviewers, mentors... the names are many, but so are the skills that we need to make sure that we're adding as much value to the match officials as possible.

In this episode, we explore the concept of connection. The obvious connection may not always be the deepest connection, whilst Dusty and John were both employed at England Rugby, however the they had both served in the Royal Navy, whilst at different times, there was a shared experience and journey. This connection offers an opportunity for healthy debate and to a have a different view.
