Scouser Tommies: REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL

Jim Boardman and Jay Reid return for another episode of Scouser Tommies as Liverpool bury the disappointment of the visit of football’s biggest cheats with a shedload of goals in the European Cup.

As well as all the obvious stuff, like would a ref from Huyton ever get a game where Liverpool were away in Manchester, and how can a team found so guilty still be playing in the competition they were proven to have cheated, how important is that the Reds get back to old ways when reacting to bad moments in games?

There’s also the question about how Liverpool deal with things go the other way. What is it about being so in control of games that they feel like they can just go home early? It didn’t matter in the end in Austria, but could goal difference be an issue by the end of this Champions League mega-league stage?

Also a look ahead to Liverpool’s next two games, the visit to Brentford, before the Champions League night at home to Villareal.
