Gareth Ainsworth's hopes for a cup run in the League Cup ended in disappointment as they exited the competition on penalties, but once again, the Gills showed their battling qualities as they clawed their way back into the game, and maybe even could have won it, before eventually losing out on spot-kicks.
On this episode of the pod, James is joined by Tom and Elliott as they look back at the Gills' cup exit, and the conflicting emotions that came from the performance. They also looked ahead to the team's away trip to Tranmere this coming weekend as they return to League 2 action.
