What REALLY happened between the Rockies & pitching coach Alon Leichman and why it went wrong

After seeing our show a few days after being fired by the Rockies, Alon Leichman reached out to Christian Saez and shared his side of the story as to why it didn’t work out between him and the Rockies. Afterward, Christian spoke with the Rockies front office and got their perspective on the situation. Together, it paints a picture consisting partly of miscommunication, differing philosophies, coaches not being aligned, and a need for some major adjustments in 2027. Then, as if right on cue, the Rockies announced the hiring of new pitching coach Ethan Katz on Monday. Christian Saez and Spencer Smith break it all down on the DNVR Rockies podcast.
