POSTCAST: Road Trip Starts With Extra Innings, Mets See Winning Streak SNAPPED

The New York Mets played their 12th extra inning game of the season, but fell to the Seattle Mariners, 3-2.

This game was a pitcher's duel, with the only runs being scored off of solo home runs (4 of them, in fact). Sean Manaea looked really solid in his five innings of work as the bulk reliever.

Brooks Raley, however, allowed the game-tying home run off the bat of Josh Naylor in the 7th. Both teams were held scoreless through the remainder of the 9 innings and we were off to extras.

The Mets were unable to move the ghost runner over, let alone score a run in extras and that set the stage for Colt Young to walk it off for the Mariners in the 10th to snap the Mets four game winning streak.
