Trevor Rogers set the tone as the Orioles take Game 1 of the Beltway Series, beating the Nationals 3-1 on Friday night. Rogers was in complete control: 6.1 innings, 1 earned run, 7 strikeouts, and no walks. He’s now sitting at a 2.05 ERA in June and pitching like a major piece of this rotation. Tyler Wells stays sharp out of the bullpen, extending his scoreless streak and locking things down late. The offense did just enough—and delivered in key moments. The Orioles go 3-for-12 with runners in scoring position, highlighted by a clutch two-run single from Blaze Alexander. Coby Mayo continues to produce with two doubles, including an RBI knock vs a right-hander. Tyler O’Neill adds a double, two walks, and a run scored, while Taylor Ward goes 3-for-5 and crosses the plate.
