Atlanta Hawks 2026/27 Season Preview [NBA]

Atlanta Hawks fans, the 2026 season is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing storylines in the Eastern Conference. Onyeka Okongwu is finally locked in as the starting center, and Atlanta’s new direction hinges on whether Jalen Johnson’s growth and CJ McCollum’s leadership can push the Hawks into the Eastern Conference elite. Can Atlanta rise in a wide-open East, or will roster uncertainty and tough competition keep this team in the middle of the pack?

Josh Lloyd and Brad Rowland break down the Atlanta Hawks offseason, including the additions of Lu Dort, Aaron Wiggins, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Buddy Hield, and Corey Kispert. They also examine Johnson’s late-season struggles, Alexander-Walker’s hot shooting, and how Quin Snyder’s evolving system could change everything. With improved defense, possible spacing concerns, and plenty of depth and versatility, the Hawks have a fascinating ceiling. How high can Atlanta soar, and which rotation pieces will define the season?
