BOUNCE-BACK: San Jose Sharks vs. Montreal Canadiens Preview—How Does Defense Handle Habs' Offense?

San Jose Sharks eye redemption against the Montreal Canadiens—can Macklin Celebrini and Michael Misa ignite the offense against a struggling Jakob Dobes? JD Young previews a clash between two young, exciting squads, spotlighting the Sharks’ potent top line and Montreal’s dynamic trio of Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, and Juraj Slafkovsky. With both teams tied at nine points, this matchup promises fast-paced action and critical momentum shifts.

Key topics include Montreal’s strong expected-goals metrics despite inconsistent goaltending, San Jose’s search for five-on-five scoring, and a possible lineup shakeup if Alex Wennberg sits out. JD breaks down projected lines, analyzes special teams, and makes a bold prediction: a breakout performance from Celebrini and an end to the Sharks’ losing streak. Will Montreal’s high-powered attack overwhelm San Jose’s defense, or will the Sharks deliver a statement win before heading to Ottawa?
