BUFFALO SABRES 2 VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS 0 (31-23-14, 76 PTS)

Recap: The Golden Knights were looking to build on a two-game winning streak and prove they’ve truly found their stride against the dangerous Buffalo Sabres.

The Sabres scored first on a goofy play behind the net that was shot off Adin Hill and into the goal before he could recover. Buffalo took the one goal lead to the locker room after the 1st.

Both teams had opporunities on the PP in the 2nd but neither could break through.

VGK appered to be getting closer and closer to leveling the game in the final frame but Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen proved to be too good on this game.

The Golden Knights record falls to 31-23-14 after losing to the Sabres 2-0 at T-Mobile Arena. Next, Vegas will welcome Western Conference playoff contender the Utah Mammoth on Thursday. Puck drop against the Mammoth is scheduled for 7 PM. (Recap by Ken)

Analysis: A shockingly similar game to the one in Dallas last week. VGK looked like they were good enough to win the game but couldn’t convet offensively despite a decent number of chances. Part, maybe the main part, of the problem came from the fact that they were not dangerous directly in front of the goal enough on this night. Couple that with one of the best goalie performances by a visiting netminder all year and you end up with a goose-egg on the board. (Analysis by Ken)
