FPL GW9: Top FPL Assets in Every Position | Who You NEED to Own

Gameweek 8 was carnage. Pascal Groß put one in his own net and finished on zero, Cole Palmer was sent off for a second yellow and went minus, and Cherki blanked in 45 minutes as Villa beat Man City. João Pedro didn’t play and is now out for several weeks with a thigh injury. Bruno was benched, and Saka, Semenyo and Szoboszlai all picked up injuries. We pick through the damage before a quick warm-up of three trivia questions on the week’s stats.

Then it’s on to Gameweek 9 and the top FPL assets in every position. We go through forwards, midfielders, defenders and keepers, each giving our top 3. Haaland and Isak lead the line, Groß and Tavernier anchor midfield, and Vuskovic is in both of our back lines. There’s plenty we don’t agree on too, from Kostoulas and Evanilson up front to Manzambi, Gabriel, Van Hecke and Kinsky.

We finish with the full Gameweek 9 fixture list and where our picks are playing, including Man City v Brighton on Saturday and Liverpool v Arsenal on Sunday.
