Matchday 3 picked up where Matchday 2 left off, with goals galore!
In our featured match, Paris and Barcelona played out an end-to-end classic in the French capital with the defending champions running out eventual 4-2 winners. Désiré Doué and Lamine Yamal were inevitably amongst the goalscorers.
Liverpool, Napoli and Roma all scored four to see off Villarreal, Bodø/Glimt and Slovan Bratislava respectively, while Manchester City hit five at home to AEK Athens, midfielder Phil Foden with a hat-trick. Elsewhere Stuttgart drew with 10-man Atleti 1-1 in Germany whilst PSV secured a superb 1-0 win in Porto. And in our early matches Sabah went down 2-1 at home to Borussia Dortmund while Slavia Praha hit a last-minute equaliser against Fenerbahçe to draw 2-2 in Türkiye and register their first-ever away point in the competition.
We hear from Manchester City hat-trick hero Foden, Liverpool’s UEFA Player of the Match Rio Ngumoha, Atleti goalkeeper Jan Oblak, Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay plus Barça boss Hansi Flick and Dortmund manager Niko Kovac.
