Viggo Bjork told the media that the Florida Panthers took him out to dinner during the week of the combine, do the Panthers make the pick if he is available at nine. Do they think they have better NHL options in the current pipeline that could take the place of Evan Rodrigues or an Eetu Luostarinen who are in contract years? One glaring hole on the Panthers power play is the left flank, it's been a rotating cast, but would Patrik Laine be a solution for one year coming off a year where he struggled with injury? Could be another bargain signing that the Panthers could make as he and Aleksander Barkov are close friends and the history between Laine and Paul Maurice. Last offseason, the chatter was about possibly shipping the contract of Rodrigues due to the cap crunch for the Cats. Although the cap has risen, could the Panthers actually explore the opportunity with the possibility that Sandis Vilmanis could be a swiss army knife type on the roster?
