UPSET ALERT: Boo Carter, Colorado Surprise Georgia Tech ahead of Tennessee Football Matchup

Georgia Tech stunned by Colorado in a Thursday night shocker—what does this tell us about Tennessee’s looming week 2 clash in Atlanta? Brent Key’s Yellow Jackets fell 14-13 at home, struggling with a lack of playmakers, sluggish offense, and troubling defensive gaps against the run, even as JuJu Lewis led a late scoring drive before Boo Carter’s critical field goal block sealed Colorado’s win.

The conversation focused on Georgia Tech’s inability to control the trenches, Justice Haynes’ slow start on the ground, and Josh Heupel’s Tennessee roster’s clear advantages heading into next week. Key topics include Brent Key’s conservative late-game decision-making, Georgia Tech’s new coordinators, concerns around quarterback consistency, and Tennessee’s readiness to capitalize. Will Tennessee’s offense exploit Georgia Tech’s vulnerabilities, or can the Yellow Jackets rebound after an underwhelming opener? Football season is here—Locked On Vols breaks down what to expect next.
