CAVS POSTCAST: The Cleveland Cavaliers and Donovan Mitchell DRIVE Big Win, Meleek Thomas Impresses

The Cleveland Cavaliers outlast the Minnesota Timberwolves in an overtime classic highlighted by Donovan Mitchell’s clutch heroics and a breakout debut from rookie Malik Thomas. Can the Cavs sustain this electric momentum for a deep playoff push?

The conversation focused on the Cavs’ red-hot three-point shooting, defensive resurgence, and strong team chemistry, with Mitchell and James Harden leading down the stretch. One concept discussed was Meleek Thomas’s fearless play, going 4-of-5 from beyond the arc, and his impact on both ends. The discussion explored lineup adjustments like the 4-out, 1-in set featuring Evan Mobley. Several points were raised, including Jarrett Allen’s paint presence, Sam Merrill’s second-chance opportunities, and how the team forced 20 turnovers against Anthony Edwards and Minnesota. A key theme that emerged was how balanced offense and hustle plays fueled this signature win as Cleveland prepares to face the Washington Wizards.

Is this the statement game that propels the Cavs into the league’s elite?
