The Daly Dose of Hoops Podcast returns for a new season with a longtime friend of the site as its latest guest!
In this premiere episode, host Jaden Daly sits down with someone whose career took flight at two of the site’s primary outposts, as he chats with the great Fran Fraschilla. Now a respected college basketball analyst at ESPN after his tenure as the head coach at Manhattan, St. John’s and New Mexico, Fran and Jaden talk about the Jaspers, the Red Storm, and the current landscape of college basketball in the first half of the podcast. In the second half, Fran discusses his transition into the media side of the business by recalling how his television career came to be, as well as the career paths of his sons, James and Matt, both young assistant coaches in their own right with the Washington Wizards and Georgia Tech, respectively. Fran also plugs his upcoming new book, “Don’t Mess With Happy,” which will chronicle his beginnings in the sport to his current line of work at ESPN. All in all, it is an episode that college basketball fans will enjoy from start to finish.
