One of the biggest mistakes I see golfers make around the greens is using the same setup regardless of the lie. When you've got a soft, wet lie, the club can dig into the turf very easily. A simple adjustment that can make a huge difference is standing a little taller and allowing the shaft to sit more upright at address. When golfers get too bent over with the handle very low, the leading edge tends to dig. By standing taller, you can encourage the club to work through the turf with less resistance and use the bounce more effectively. The result? Cleaner contact, more consistent strike, and a much better chance of getting the ball onto the green and rolling towards the hole. Next time you face a soft or wet lie around the greens, don't just grab your wedge and hope for the best. Adjust your setup, stand a little taller, and let the club do the work. That's your Wednesday Wisdom. Have a great week and play well.
