The NFL didn’t want Warren Moon at quarterback. He became its highest-paid player anyway.
He joins Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson to reveal how he overcame racial barriers, won five consecutive Grey Cups in Canada and changed the perception of Black quarterbacks in the NFL.
Moon also opens up about the racism his family endured and why he secretly attended therapy during his playing career. He reflects on Doug Williams’ historic Super Bowl win, gets honest about Shedeur Sanders, shares the advice he gave Russell Wilson and reveals how his jersey connected LeBron James and Rich Paul.
Plus, he explains why he let Cam Ward wear No. 1 and shares unforgettable stories about Barry Sanders, Lawrence Taylor and Derrick Thomas.
