A lot to discuss this week on the Chuck Long Podcast following the Iowa football loss to Minnesota, 13-10. We open the podcast with a long discussion about the situation at quarterback this past week. What did Long think of the performance of starter Jeremy Hecklinski? What did he see from some of the throws and were there some mistakes due to inexperience?
Then we move on to Hank Brown and his play after coming into the game in the second quarter of the game. What did we think of his early drives, including before halftime and not gettting rid of the ball so Iowa could have attempted a field goal? We talk about his second half performance the two good throws that he made that led to the Hawkeyes only score and his missed throw to DJ Vonnahme that could have been a big play.
What would Long do moving forward at the position and why?
Then we preview the game against Wisconsin and how they have become a vastly improved team this year after seeming to be headed towards a coaching change coming into the season. After that we look at some of the games this past week in the Big Ten and how it impacted the conference race and we eventually pick the games coming up this week.
