PHILLIES POSTCAST: Philadelphia Phillies' Win Streak SNAPPED at 9 after 9-2 Loss to Seattle Mariners

The Philadelphia Phillies get beat up by the Seattle Mariners in 9-2 loss, ending their nine-game winning streak.  

Zack Wheeler started for the Phillies and put in one of the worst outings of his Phillies career. The righty was taken for eight runs on nine hits, five walks and four home runs. His ERA jumped up from 2.92 to 3.40.  

According to MLB.com’s Paul Casella, Wheeler has posted 9.27 ERA over his last five “full starts” which excludes his two-inning rain-shorted start in Baltimore on August 2nd.    

The Phillies runs came on an Alec Bohm RBI ground out in the first and a J.T. Realmuto solo homer in the second.

Mariners' catcher, Cal Raleigh, who has struggled after his 60-homer season last year, smacked three home runs in this out for 17 total on the season.
