Five Phillies who won't be back in 2027

We’re still waiting to hear something -- anything -- from Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski about the future of the franchise, including the fate of interim manager Don Mattingly. Dombrowski hasn’t spoken since the Phillies got bounced in Game 3 of the NL Wild Card Series on Oct. 1.

In the meantime, Ruben, Jim and Todd ranked 24 Phillies from least likely to return in 2027 to most likely to return. We added up their individual rankings to come up with our five Phillies LEAST likely to be back next year. It’s a list that includes José Alvarado, Alec Bohm and Orion Kerkering.

But who else is on it?

It’s “Best Week” by Manco & Manco Pizza! Manco’s is the Best of the Best, and every week throughout the season we pick our best Phillies players, performances and moments of the week.
