Wednesday saw Derek Hill deliver a pinch-hit two-run homer to flip the script again. Then on Thursday, Bryce Harper silenced the Nationals crowd with a go-ahead blast as part of a five-run 9th inning in a 10–5 win. The Phillies scored 15 ninth-inning runs across those three wins. Marsh ranked second among all NL outfielders in Phase 1 voting, batting .321 with 11 home runs and an .860 OPS. Kyle Schwarber — the MLB home run leader with 29 bombs — was edged out for the DH spot by Shohei Ohtani, who led all NL players with over 3.3 million votes.
