What I Bet - Tuesday July 28th

Griffin Warner talks betting for Tuesday.
Griffin Warner runs the entire Tuesday, July 28 Major League Baseball card on What I Bet, building his own numbers before diving into a sixteen-game slate that opens with a Battle of Ohio doubleheader and closes on the West Coast. He starts with a quick note on recent form, four wins in the last five, eight and three in the last eleven, ten and four in the last fourteen, and thirteen and six in the last nineteen, before working through the board game by game. Slade Cecconi and the Guardians open against Chase Burns and the Reds in Game 1 of a doubleheader created by a postponed opener, and Griffin says he would rather see Gavin Williams on the mound for Cleveland while still liking the under. Brandon Pfaadt and Arizona travel to face Bubba Chandler and the Pirates, with Griffin siding with a cheap Diamondbacks price against a team he thinks has the better roster. Aaron Nola and the Phillies visit Sandy Alcantara and a reeling Marlins club, and Griffin explains why he still does not trust Nola despite Miami's twelve game skid, pointing to Philadelphia letting Ranger Suarez leave as a longer term concern. Cal Quantrill and the Rangers face Griffin Jax and the Rays in a game Griffin mostly avoids given Tampa Bay's strength at limiting runs at home. The clearest opinion of the show comes on Dean Kremer and the Orioles visiting Troy Melton and the Tigers, where Griffin argues Detroit is undervalued and Kremer keeps earning more market respect than he deserves, referencing a rough recent start against Houston. Shane Bieber and the Blue Jays face Cade Cavalli and a shaky Washington bullpen, Chris Sale and the Braves visit Christian Scott and the Mets with Griffin leaning the under, and Game 2 of the doubleheader brings Brady Singer against Gavin Williams and the Guardians in a spot Griffin mostly passes on. Gerrit Cole and the Yankees travel to face Anthony Kay and a struggling White Sox team, Seth Lugo and the Royals face Taj Bradley and a Minnesota bullpen that has quietly turned into a strength, and Griffin leans hard to the under there. Colin Rea and the Cubs visit Michael McGreevy and the Cardinals, with Griffin backing St. Louis over a Chicago staff propped up by its defense. Peter Lambert and the Astros face Reid Detmers and the Angels, and Griffin explains why he believes in Lambert and why Jeremy Pena might be the hottest hitter he has watched all year. Michael Lorenzen and the Rockies visit Michael King and the Padres, Jake Bennett and the Red Sox travel to face Gage Jump and the Athletics in Sacramento, and Logan Henderson and the Brewers face Landen Roupp and the Giants in a matchup Griffin likes on pitching alone. The card wraps with Luis Castillo and the Mariners facing Eric Lauer and the Dodgers, a spot Griffin leans over if the total drops. He closes the episode with his single What I Bet best bet of the night, the Detroit Tigers minus 130 at home over the Baltimore Orioles, built on confidence in Troy Melton and skepticism of Dean Kremer's price. Along the way he points listeners to a promo code worth ninety eight dollars in savings on football season access packages running all the way through the Super Bowl, starting with the Hall of Fame Game on August 6.
