NHL Draft Preview: Bruins MUST Prioritize DEVELOPMENT After Mougenel's Departure

Boston Bruins eye organizational shake-up as AHL Coach of the Year Ryan Mougenel departs for the Vancouver Canucks. Will this coaching change finally unlock the development of Bruins prospects like Fabian Lysell and Matt Poitras, or deepen the club’s postseason frustrations? Ian McLaren examines the trend of prioritizing regular season wins over player growth in Providence, the ripple effect on Boston’s NHL future, and why this transition could benefit both Mougenel and the Bruins.

With the NHL Draft looming, McLaren spotlights potential picks for the Bruins at 23rd overall, including dynamic targets like JP Hurlbert and Tommy Bleyl. The episode breaks down the trade landscape, evaluating the market value of assets like Pavel Zacha, Mason Lohrei, and Matt Poitras. Will Boston risk shaking up its core for younger talent and needed cap flexibility? Get the latest insights into roster strategy as the Bruins prepare for a pivotal offseason.
