NFL Draft preview and ranking USC football position group expectations

In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham, RJ Abeytia and intern India Otto are back in studio discussing this weekend's huge NFL Draft and the top-rated USC prospects that are hoping to hear their name called. They also take a crack at ranking each of the Trojan football position groups by level of expectations heading into the season following what we learned about the team in the spring.

Kicking things off with our draft coverage, all eyes will be on wide receiver Makai Lemon will is expected to go in the top-half of the first round, likely as the second or third wide receiver off the board. Lemon will very likely be USC's only first round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and could be the only Trojan picks in the first two days of the draft. Safeties Kamari Ramsey and Bishop Fitzgerald, wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane, tight end Lake McRee and linebacker Eric Gentry are other former USC players that are the most likely to get picked up in the later rounds.
