Episode Notes
In a pleasing show of symmetry, it is thirty years since Nottingham Forest last plyed their trade in European competition. Back then, Frank Clark's Reds put in a series of back to basics performances in defence, with sprinklings of fairy dust up front by the likes of Bryan Roy, Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Paul McGregor and, erm, Steve Chettle.
In this podcast special, Steven Toplis and Tom Newton look back over that magical season, in which Forest were the last English team standing in European competition. We give our thanks to our special guests for joining us: ex-Reds players Mark Crossley, Steve Chettle and Bryan Roy, Central TV journalist Keith Daniel, and Forest fan Rich Fisher.
Part 2 will be in your feeds very soon, and don't forget to catch up on last season's "30 Years On" podcast, reviewing Frank Clark's side make a remarkable run to third place in the Premier League: Part 1 - Part 2.
