The Chicago White Sox had a late lead but couldn’t hold it, getting swept by the Tampa Bay Rays Thursday afternoon. 7 total pitchers pitched for the Sox, but it fell apart late. Miguel Vargas powered the offense with his 2nd home run of the season, a solo shot in the 3rd inning. The 2-1 lead slipped away in the 7th with the Rays tying the game at 2. Everson Pereira pushed the Sox back ahead with a go-ahead homer in the 8th. Seranthony Domínguez ran into some trouble with the leadoff batter in the 9th, allowing a game-tying home run. 3 of the next 4 batters reached before Lucas Sims relieved Dominguez. Sims walked in a pair of runs, and the White Sox were unable to tie it in the 9th. Join Sean Anderson as he looks for answers for the team on the CHGO White Sox Postgame Show.
