Eddie and George are back in the studio to recap some of what the players had to say from Friday morning's media availability. John Mateer may have let the cat out of the bag on his team captain status...but who is surprised? Mateer also had plenty to say regarding the current center situation with Jake Maikkula out, as well as whether we will see the Sooners run some plays with the quarterback under center. Plus, Mateer spoke highly of receiver Trell Harris while also giving his two cents on freshman running back Jonathan Hatton. On the defensive side, Owen Heinecke touches on what he expects from himself going into the season, while giving credit where it is due with the likes of James Nesta, Marcus James, and of course, Kip Lewis. We finish off with a word from Peyton Bowen, who shared some surprise players who could make an impact on special teams and also what he has seen in fall camp from the cheetah position. All that and more on this edition of the practice report.
