The Chicago Cubs overwhelmed the Cincinnati Reds 17-5 on Saturday at Wrigley Field, evening the weekend series. Pete Crow-Armstrong powered Chicago’s offensive explosion with his first career three-homer game, driving in six runs as the Cubs piled up 19 hits. Cincinnati starter Andrew Abbott struggled, allowing seven runs on eight hits in three-plus innings to suffer his third consecutive loss. The Reds did produce some power of their own. Eugenio Suárez hit a two-run homer, while rookie Sal Stewart launched his 30th home run of the season. Cincinnati has now lost 10 of its last 15 games.
