PHILLIES POSTCAST: Philadelphia Phillies avoid the Sweep with 6-0 WIN vs Seattle Mariners

The Philadelphia Phillies get a three-run homer from Kyle Schwarber and Seven-Scoreless from Jesus Luzardo to top the Seattle Mariners 6-0.

The Phillies broke out the bats early in this one as Bryce Harper took Bryan Woo deep in the first inning for a two-run homer. Then in the 3rd, Justin Crawford singled home Bryson Stott before Kyle Schwarber blew things open with a 425-foot three-run homer to right-center for his 40th homer of the season.

Jesus Luzardo was dominant over his seven-scoreless innings allowing just one hit while issuing three walks and striking out nine. He threw 103 pitches in what marked his 12th win of the season. He also notched his 200th strikeout of the season, making him just the 6th pitcher in Phillies history to record 200 K’s BEFORE his first September start. Luzardo also lowered his road ERA to 1.79, 4th best in baseball.
