What we want to see from the Phillies in September

The Phillies have won six in a row and 13 of 15 following Tuesday’s victory in August. They are baseball’s hottest team, moving ahead of the Cubs for the No. 1 NL Wild Card and three behind the Braves in the NL East.

It’s great, but it’s what happens in October that matters most.

What do we want to see from these Phillies in the final month of the season… besides wins, of course? Trea Turner getting on track? Alex McFarlane earning more of Don Mattingly’s trust? Zack Wheeler’s improvement? Andrew Painter building on what have been encouraging performances since he rejoined the team in late July?

Plus, could Bryce Harper finish in the top three for NL MVP? Could Jesús Luzardo finish in the top three for NL Cy Young?
